About Us:

FITS Uganda is a community based organization (CBO) founded in 2010 and registered as an
indigenous non for profit organization in 2015. It operates in Kigezi Sub region of Uganda and
envisions towards sustainable agriculture, food and nutrition security and natural resource
management.

FITS Uganda Work Profile

EURECCCA project:

Successfully completed the EURECCA project, aimed at enhancing community resilience to climate change through integrated water and resource management in four wetlands.

Sustainable Land Management Project:

Collaborated with funding partners to support farmer field schools in conservation farming, and conservation of degraded agricultural areas and road reserves.

FITS Uganda has also participated in improved household nutrition of more than 100 families and
two schools through establishment of Kitchen/vegetable gardens+

FITS Uganda has also been involved in the implementation of Self help group approach in Bubaare Innovation platform in Rubanda District, where by small self help groups have aggregated to form a community Bank.
