FITS Uganda Work Profile

1.Integrated Natural Resources Conservation

 Currently implementing a five-year Rights2Grow project in partnership with The Hunger Project Uganda, focused on achieving zero malnutrition through enhancing food security, nutrition, and sustainable WASH services.

 Promoting nutrient-dense foods through community demonstration gardens, kitchen gardens, and training on Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs).

2.Food and Nutrition Security

EURECCCA project: 

Successfully completed the EURECCA project, aimed at enhancing community resilience to climate change through integrated water and resource management in four wetlands.

Sustainable Land Management Project:

 Collaborated with funding partners to support farmer field schools in conservation farming, and conservation of degraded agricultural areas and road reserves.

3.Education Sponsorship Program 

Supporting vulnerable students with education sponsorship, focusing on primary, secondary education, and vocational skills training. Currently supporting over 30 pupils at risk of dropping out due to financial constraints in Rukungiri District.
